Sandra Wright, who recently retired after her 5th consecutive term as Flint Township treasurer, sits in her living room with a balloon she was given as a parting gift from her co-workers. When they asked Sandra what she was going to do with her life now she responded simply, “I’m gonna be the best grandma I can be.”
During the 2012 basketball season Monte Morris helped Beecher High School to an undefeated season, clenching the MHSAA Class C championship. As a junior, Morris averaged 19.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while earning All-State recognition for the second year in a row.
